Jewish museum

To Jewish Museum of Rhodes was founded in 1997 by Aaron Chason, wanting to inform the local community and visitors to the island, of the history of the Jewish Community on the island and the only remaining synagogue «Kahal Shalom». Next to the synagogue in the same building complex, where was the old loft for women, is now the museum. Exhibits in the museum include photographs-documents, interesting historical material from the life of Jews on the island before the Second World War, utility objects, Jewish traditional costumes etc. The Museum is located in Dosiadou street on the eastern side of the Medieval Town.
